What did I already know about the topics?

K: Before learning about this topic, some things I understood about the anatomy of books related to basic placement of sections (where copyright information was located, table of contents, author information) as well as a few basic terms like the cover, spine, and binding. I did not know of specific or technical terms for many important parts of a physical book.

What did I learn after I completed each assignment?

W: After researching the terms, I am now more familiar more technical labels like the backbone, gutter, and endpapers. The graphics were especially helpful to understand where these are located and their purpose. The hidden images or designs on the link examples of some casewraps and book blocks were especially interesting.

What do  I still need to learn?

L: Some things I want to look into after exploring this chapter includes checking my book collection to see if there are any hidden designs! I would also like to look into the technicalities of the publication process because the more I learn, the more amazing it seems to me that we have access to so many books that I am sure I need to be more appreciative of.

How will I share this information with others?

S: Lastly, this information will be a useful language to have when discussing parts of the books I work with, and I will be able share it with students and teachers alike.
